I spy…Dinosaurs!
- I spy worksheet
- Crayons
This worksheet can be made for FREE on Canva! Create a free account and start searching for images 🙂
Find the Dino!
- Large bucket
- Water beads
- Mini Dinosaur
- Other mini objects
Prepare your water beads by allowing them to sit in the water for at least 3-4 hours before the activity. The longer the better 👌🏻. (Water beads are at the beginning of the process in the pictures shown) Toss your mini dino and other objects inside. Have kids reach in and try to find the dinosaur! They can close their eyes for more of a challenge.
Dinosaur name tracing
- Name tracing pages
Although this is not science, I had this for the kids in this center today. Sometimes we intertwine stations to make sure the bases are covered 😉 I made these worksheets on Canva.com! After the child traces their name, have them practice independently. To extend the activity, display letter blocks/magnets/trains and have them build their name.
Sensory Bin
Fossil digging
- Bones
- Dinosaurs
- Paintbrushes
- Baskets/bags
- Leaves/logs
Typically I use flour as my filler so they can dust the bones, however I was out 🤭. Sometimes you’ve just gotta go with what you have 🤷🏼♀️. I used my fall rice mixture as the filler and added all other materials to the sensory bin. The kids still loved it of course!
Dramatic Play
Swamp/nest
- Green netting
- Vines
- Dinosaur signs
- Dinosaur masks
- Green Easter eggs
- Etc.
Create your swamp and have your dinosaurs “lay”, and protect their eggs!
Paleontologist
- Checklist page/clipboard
- Eggs
- Baskets
- Vials
- Magnifying glass
- White robes
- Glasses
- Etc.
Set up you lab/work area and have kids examine/study the dinosaurs!
